We are highly concerned about your safety during your visit to Nepal. Though there is no risk at all to visit any part of Nepal, but we would like to say that before you visit any places please take our safety tips and do not travel alone. Always inform your related person or other colleagues about your visit and to all concerned authorities and organization. Before going to any trip or any adventure please read all the instructions carefully and always consult with your agency or guide.
 
     
  Precautions  
  - Preferably do not leave any valuables out in the open as temptation induces crime.  
  - Do not carry too much in cash as far as possible. Make use of your credit cards instead.  
  - Avoid Maoist pockets in Nepal. Though there have never been any incidents of attacks on tourists, avoid travelling alone in these areas.  
     
  Safety for Women  
  - Nepali people are conservative by nature. Avoid wearing skimpy clothes to avoid any unwanted attention.  
  - Avoid travelling alone in the dark and late nights at pubs and bars.  
     
  While Trekking  
 
For up-to-date infomation on trekking conditions and health risks there are associations like the Himalayan Rescue Association (HRA) and the Kathmandu Environment Education Process (KEEP) to help you.
 
     
  Theft  
 
Though the chances of a theft are rare, but just in case of a mishap, go to Interpol (ph: 4412602) at the Police Headquarters in Naxal, Kathmandu.
 
     
  Tourist Police  
 
A special unit of the Nepal Police, the Tourist Police is trained specially to assist visitors with security and travel related problems. An English-speaking officer on duty is just a call away between 11am and 5pm at 4247041. These officers are also stationed at all the major tourist sites, and their blue van is always on constant patrol.
